Your role as a Supplier Quality Engineer
As a Supplier Quality Engineer, you are responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of purchased materials, components, and services used in our medical products. You work closely with suppliers and internal teams to ensure products meet all applicable quality and regulatory requirements. At the same time, you actively contribute to continuous improvement and a stable, reliable supply chain.
This role is based in Kerkrade, the Netherlands.
Your responsibilities
In this role, you will work with different teams and suppliers to continuously improve quality throughout the supply chain. You will have a high level of responsibility and play an active role in preventing, analysing, and resolving quality-related issues within a regulated medical environment. Other responsibilities include:
- Monitor and evaluate supplier performance using KPIs and scorecards
- Initiate and support supplier improvement projects
- Perform supplier audits, both on-site and remotely, to ensure compliance with quality and regulatory requirements
- Conduct risk analyses related to suppliers, processes, materials, and components
- Investigate and follow up on supplier-related non-conformities and corrective actions
- Support Incoming Quality Control and resolve quality issues impacting operations or customer satisfaction
- Manage and follow up on supplier changes, including impact assessments and change control activities
- Contribute to internal and external audits and maintain up-to-date compliance documentation
- Review and follow up on supplier documentation such as specifications, certificates, validation data, and reports
Who you are

You work accurately without losing sight of the bigger picture, and you work in a structured and accurate manner, even when priorities change.
- You have experience in Supplier Quality or Quality Engineering, preferably within medical technology or healthcare
- You are familiar with Quality Management Systems such as ISO 13485
- You have experience with supplier management and can address quality-related topics in a professional and constructive way
- You have knowledge of CAPA and change control processes
- You are familiar with quality tools such as root cause analysis, 8D, and risk management
- You have a pragmatic, hands-on mindset and focus on solutions
- You are comfortable working in an international environment and collaborating with people from different cultures
- You are willing to travel for supplier audits and visits
